After 8 monthly screenings, starting in October 2006. and finishing in June 2007, and more than 2.000 audience in total, introducing 16 local and international guests, FREE ZONE screenings of politically and socially engaded documentaries in REX Cultural Centet came to an end. Sold out screenings and passionate disscussions and Q&As after them introduced the new way of watching and talking about the movies. Apart from giving the chance to the Belgrade audience to see thrilling, excellent and awarded films that wouldn't be distributed in the regular theaters, FREE ZONE offered thru this program the possibility to understand better what is going on in the world around us. Together with FREE ZONE annual film festival, FREE ZONE Serbian Tour and FREE ZONE program for high-school students, FREE ZONE monthly screenings in REX has become one of the landmarks among Belgrade cultural events, designed for demanding audience that expect from films to be authentic, artistic, exciting, socially aware, and a bit more than just pure fun. In October 2007 a new season of the FREE ZONE monthly screenings started, with the Danish fiction feature 1:1.

The World Revolution

The World Revolution is an idea for a new, global grassroots social movement for progressive social change. It aims to resolve in a definitive and comprehensive manner the major social problems of our world and our era. The World Revolution is intended to be a large-scale, mass social movement, involving large numbers of people, and international in scope. There are four broad 'issue areas' of the WR: 'Peace', Human Rights, Environment, and Development.

“From Beirut to ... those who love us” and “dead time” made on July 21, 2006 at the studios of Beirut DC - a film and cinema collective which runs the yearly Ayam Beirut Al Cinema'iya Film Festival - produced in collaboration with Samidoun, a grassroots gathering of various organizations and individuals who were involved in relief and media efforts from the first day of the Israeli attack on Lebanon.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Doomsday Clock conveys how close humanity is to catastrophic destruction--the figurative midnight--and monitors the means humankind could use to obliterate itself. First and foremost, these include nuclear weapons, but they also encompass climate-changing technologies and new developments in the life sciences and nanotechnology that could inflict irrevocable harm.
