FREE ZONE IS GOING ON A TOUR !!!

After it’s premier edition, the Free Zone film festival starts touring in 20 cities throughout Serbia. The festival is hitting the road with a selection of 6 movies that were voted for the best by the audience in Belgrade. After the film projections the visitors will have the unique opportunity to participate in discussions about issues raised in those films with domestic guests, well-know public figures!

New Film at the Free Zone

If you are wondering what is the secret of the fastest athletes from Jamaica, Free Zone offers you the answer. In the May edition of the monthly program at the Cultural Center Rex documentary film lovers will have the opportunity to see the film "Why do Jamaicans run so fast?" After the screening the audince can participate in debate with producer Fernando Garcia-Guereta and his colleague, Jamaican Zenesha Riley. The sceening is scheduled for May 25th at 20hrs.

April edition's of FREE ZONE

On Thursday, April 27th, in the Cultural Center REX, as part of its monthly program FREE ZONE is presenting the film “WAR AND LOVE IN KABUL”, directed by Helga Reidemeister. After the screening audience will have the opportunity to talk with film's producer Zoran Solomun.

Free Zone in Rex / March

The Free Zone continues its monthly screenings at the Cultural Center Rex in March as well. On Thursday, March 25th at 20hrs will be screened the documentary film "Crude", by American director Joe Berlinger (USA, 104, 2009).

GREENHOUSE: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

DEADLINE: February 2nd 2010

Greenhouse is proud to announce a new International Development program for documentary filmmakers from Europe and MEDA countries. The project is supported by the European Commission in the frame of MEDIA INTERNATIONAL.

 

Filmmakers from the 10 MEDA countries and European countries are invited to submit documentary film proposals on the theme of Racism & Human Rights.  The selected filmmakers will be invited to participate in three seminars during which they will work on the development of the script until a comprehensive production file is completed including a trailer. The final proposals and trailers will be presented in a Pitching Forum Event in front of leading forces of the international documentary film industry.
